The competition is open to all students currently attending primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. First, participating schools will initially run a school-based competition in their schools. In the school-based competition students will compete as individuals with students of their school with the best three winners of each level and category being moved on to the qualifying rounds of the competition. Each school has the option to send a maximum of nine participants for each category, three for each of the three levels (Seed/Blossom/Fruit) to the qualifying rounds of the competition. Schools should select the participants correspond to their category and level. CPD Training workshops will be offered to teachers of all participating schools providing them with top tips, resources and strategies about conducting digital storytelling in schools. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges.  The decision of the judges is binding and may not be contested.
