Sense Kids Yearn (SKY) is a Quality Education Fund project organized by the Active and Independent Education Limited (A&I), a company which has long been developing and deploying an international award winning Web-based English Learning System (WELS) for local schools.  A&I has been actively contributing to support storytelling as a powerful tool for learning English Language and acquiring communication and presentation skills.  SKY is another project that A&I is currently supporting with the aim to nurture a digital storytelling community in schools.  The project grew out of a desire to promote creative writing in schools, encourage students to speak English and demonstrate their creativity in storytelling.  The Digital Storytelling Competition is one of the initiatives that SKY has been undertaking with the aim to provide an opportunity for students to present their personal thoughts, develop innovative and creative stories and then present the stories to the audience.  A&I has organized two storytelling competitions to Welnet schools in 2007 and 2008 and were well-attended.  This is the third competition that A&I is organizing and this competition is expanding its reach to all primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong.
